I went over to the United States with just one suitcase in my mid-twenties with the encouragement of my parents. I had no friends, no relatives, and nobody in particular to help me. Also, I could hardly speak English, but I started up a small business at the age of 29 in Manhattan, New York. I established a tour-operating company. After that, I started an entertainment events coordination and planning company serving Japanese tourists. However, in 2001, the after-effects of the terrorist attacks on New York commonly known as "9-11" damaged my business, and I sold my apartment and closed the company. I lived for 25 years in the United States and obtained U.S. citizenship.

After returning to Japan permanently in 2010, I started assisting in the management of my brother-in-law’s company. After working for several real estate-related companies in Tokyo, I started managing an Airbnb in Yokohama in November 2016. I established ARi Japan, Inc. in January 2018. I obtained a private lodging administrator license and registration number and a private lodging operator registration number in June 2018 from the City of Yokohama. In February 2020, we started repair and re-selling business.
